Leads crystal growth equipment operation and process optimization for high-melting materials. Develops and transfers crystal growth processes from R&D to manufacturing, troubleshoots equipment and process issues, improves yield and cycle time, maintains procedures and SPC documentation, supports capacity expansion and supplier qualification, and contributes to technical reports, patents, and new product development. Frequent travel and relocation from Florida to California are expected.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, advising on legal and business risks, supporting trade, FAR/DFARS, privacy, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance, improving legal forms and policies, and partnering with executives and internal teams. The role reports to the General Counsel, operates in a hybrid arrangement, and requires up to 10% travel.

Oversee shared-services accounting operations across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Lead teams, ensure accurate and compliant transaction processing, manage closing and audit activities, administer Concur, and drive process transformation, automation, ERP optimization, internal controls, KPI reporting, and cross-functional workflow improvements.

Prior technical experience is helpful but not required.

Develop and maintain LabVIEW-based test, metrology, and automation software for high-power laser test stations. Manage laser test data storage using SQL Server and SQLite, build visualization and reporting tools, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve test methods, throughput, and automation. The role requires hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, industrial equipment, optical test benches, and NI data acquisition hardware.

Develop software and firmware for embedded microcontrollers and FPGAs supporting high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers. Assist with PCB and hardware prototyping, bring-up, testing, validation, documentation, manufacturing transition, and field support. Collaborate across engineering teams to resolve issues throughout development and deployment, with infrequent travel for field assistance and conferences.

Develop, optimize, and support CNC programs and machining processes for precision glass aerospace components. Responsibilities include programming 3- and 5-axis milling, interpreting drawings and GD&T, selecting tooling and machining parameters, validating toolpaths through simulation, preparing documentation, troubleshooting setups, improving efficiency and quality, maintaining CAD/CAM standards, and collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams on design and continuous improvement initiatives.

Leads the opto-mechanical design engineering department, managing, mentoring, and developing engineers. Oversees design projects, workload allocation, technical specifications, quality processes, documentation, manufacturability, and customer requirements. Provides hands-on opto-mechanical design and structural analysis support, contributes to proposals and business development, and coordinates interdisciplinary projects.
