Supports quality systems and the Quality Assurance Manager by evaluating contracts, products, processes, materials, and manufacturing capability. Plans quality controls, analyzes quality data, inspects optical components and hardware, applies statistical methods to resolve process and workmanship issues, and recommends improvements to product design and manufacturing. Requires extensive quality assurance or manufacturing engineering experience and expertise with optical inspection and testing equipment.

Leads purchasing, NPI supply chain, strategic sourcing, subcontract management, supplier performance, material planning, and supply continuity. Manages purchasing and NPI personnel, negotiates with suppliers, drives cost reduction and continuous improvement, and partners with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Program Management, Sales, and Contracts. Ensures supplier readiness, BOM alignment, ECN execution, production transitions, compliance, and material availability for aerospace and defense programs.

Leads crystal growth equipment operation and process optimization for high-melting materials. Develops and transfers crystal growth processes from R&D to manufacturing, troubleshoots equipment and process issues, improves yield and cycle time, maintains procedures and SPC documentation, supports capacity expansion and supplier qualification, and contributes to technical reports, patents, and new product development. Frequent travel and relocation from Florida to California are expected.
