Designs, models, analyzes, and documents high-performance laser and optical assemblies. Performs beam measurement, optical sensitivity and tolerance analysis, alignment and metrology guidance, trade studies, and assembly integration testing. Resolves complex engineering and manufacturing issues while transitioning aerospace and defense products into production. Leads optical engineering programs, design reviews, and technical analyses, collaborating across mechanical engineering and varied technical audiences. Occasional travel to U.S. facilities is required.

Leads technical teams and engineering activities for aerospace and defense product and manufacturing-process development. Responsibilities include mechanical design, drawings, qualification and acceptance testing, configuration control, manufacturing documentation, troubleshooting production and yield issues, root-cause analysis, customer technical meetings, proposals, and cross-functional project coordination. The role ensures products meet customer requirements, manufacturability standards, cost, schedule, and technical objectives while supporting production implementation and coaching team members.

Design and analyze precision mechanical, electro-mechanical, and opto-mechanical systems for terrestrial and spaceborne applications. Develop CAD models, engineering drawings, tolerance analyses, and preliminary structural and thermal analyses. Support tooling, system integration, testing, and vendor fabrication activities while collaborating with optical, controls, electrical, and systems engineers.
