Supports product lifecycle and portfolio management for advanced models and primary cell biological materials. Analyzes customer, market, competitive, operational, and sales data; develops business cases, forecasts, and recommendations; supports roadmap, positioning, pricing, commercialization, and launch planning. Leads advanced life sciences research involving cell models, organoids, organ-on-chip systems, and related methodologies. Designs and directs experiments, analyzes complex data, troubleshoots laboratory challenges, develops protocols and SOPs, supports technology transfer, and communicates findings through reports, presentations, manuscripts, and publications. Provides scientific expertise for research programs and proposals while mentoring colleagues and maintaining quality standards.

The Chief Scientific Officer will define and execute ATCC’s scientific strategy, lead advanced biological platform development, and scale a multidisciplinary scientific organization. Responsibilities include developing 3D, organoid, organ-on-chip, spatial biology, stem cell, and computational model capabilities; managing scientific portfolios and programs; partnering with commercial, operational, quality, and data science teams; and representing ATCC with biopharma, academic, and government stakeholders.

Manages complex technical and scientific programs across multiple government contracts, overseeing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, technical performance, reporting, and deliverables. Leads programs through all phases, coordinates cross-functional teams, communicates with sponsors and senior stakeholders, supports growth opportunities, and manages professional staff. The role requires extensive program management experience, preferably in government contracting and biotechnology or life sciences.

Leads budgeting, forecasting, long-range financial modeling, Estimates at Completion, variance analysis, cost accounting, and financial reporting for federal programs. Oversees government contract compliance, CAS requirements, DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, disclosure statements, and contract reporting. Manages a finance team, strengthens financial controls, supports audits, partners with program leaders, and provides financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Develops, edits, and reviews scientific and technical documentation, including SOPs, reports, protocols, manuals, product information, and proposals. Researches scientific literature and data to ensure content accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and ISO compliance. Maintains website content, supports document accessibility initiatives, and collaborates with stakeholders to revise procedures and technical materials. A biology or life sciences background, particularly molecular biology, microbiology, or bacteriology, is preferred.

The Product Operations Specialist manages product master data, portfolio hierarchies, lifecycle tracking, analytics, reporting, commercialization support, and governance activities. The role analyzes portfolio and operational performance, creates dashboards and decision-support materials, tracks launch milestones and dependencies, and drives process improvements across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams.

Leads ATCC’s strategic partnerships strategy, including business development, licensing, alliances, negotiations, corporate development, and growth initiatives. Identifies and evaluates opportunities, develops business cases and financial models, structures transactions, coordinates cross-functional diligence, and oversees implementation and value realization. Establishes partnership governance, metrics, reporting, and portfolio management practices while leading and developing a partnerships team.

The Partnerships Manager identifies and advances strategic partnerships supporting commercial growth and scientific priorities. Responsibilities include partner research, market and competitive analysis, business-case development, financial modeling, valuation, risk assessment, cross-functional diligence, negotiation support, licensing and joint-venture evaluation, pipeline management, governance, reporting, and implementation planning. The role collaborates with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Science, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders in a life sciences environment.

Develop and execute strategy for ATCC’s microbiology product portfolio supporting infectious disease, microbial genomics, microbiome, diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance, and emerging disease research. Conduct market research, customer interviews, competitive analysis, and financial evaluations. Lead portfolio planning, new product stage-gate introductions, lifecycle management, commercialization initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration across product development, operations, quality, marketing, and sales.

Leads modernization and long-term evolution of ATCC’s cloud-based Genome Portal and digital biology platforms. Oversees architecture, software development, engineering execution, integrations, user experience, platform reliability, security, and scalability. Manages internal and external engineering resources, coordinates technical partners, and collaborates with scientists, bioinformatics, product, IT, cybersecurity, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, maintainable applications for genomic data users.

Provides onsite desktop and end-user technology support across three locations. Responsibilities include resolving service desk requests, troubleshooting Windows and Mac hardware and software, deploying and configuring devices, managing IT assets, supporting onboarding, documenting incidents, assisting with office moves, and training users. The role supports desktops, laptops, mobile devices, audio/visual equipment, and peripherals.

Conducts biomanufacturing processes for biological materials, including viability, purity, characterization, quality control, and assurance testing. Documents production activities in batch records and databases while following cGMP, safety, and organizational standards. Supports process implementation, continuous improvement, inventory management, equipment monitoring, laboratory readiness, troubleshooting, and funded projects in BSL-1 and BSL-2 environments.

Manages project lifecycles from initiation through closeout, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, stakeholder engagement, milestone and deliverable tracking, risk and issue management, change control, reporting, governance, and documentation. The role supports ATCC Federal Solutions contract-funded projects, customer satisfaction, and effective execution across multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Leads product strategy and lifecycle management for ATCC’s advanced cellular models and primary cell portfolio. Develops roadmaps, commercialization and pricing strategies, forecasts, business plans, and investment recommendations. Partners with scientific, operations, quality, marketing, sales, and commercial teams to drive launches, customer adoption, revenue growth, and portfolio performance. Monitors market trends, competition, customer feedback, and financial results, while presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership and potentially mentoring professional staff.
