Sources and procures tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and related equipment for product launches. Leads supplier selection, quotations, negotiations, contracts, supplier performance, cost savings, risk management, and budget analysis. Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams on NPI timelines. The role also supports procurement process improvement, digitalization, tooling lifecycle management, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Manage and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, oversee activities related to NPI delivery, quality, safety, and compliance while ensuring continuous improvement and team capability.

Provide front-desk and daytime security support for the plant: manage visitor bookings, CCTV/ANPR access, access cards, phones, and reception appearance. Provide administrative support to plant departments including raising purchase orders, booking in orders, auditing temporary workforce invoices, maintaining budget trackers, organizing occupational health bookings, liaising with security and facilities, supporting HSE processes, and coordinating fire evacuation and drug/alcohol testing logistics.

Manage material supply chain for new product introductions: align procurement, engineering, and production; maintain BoMs/part master data; create PFEPs; schedule pre-production builds; monitor shipments, stock and risks; support logistics manager and programme teams to minimize inventory impact and ensure on-time launches.

Support Business Development by managing administration for RFQs, quotations, tooling and commercial trackers; coordinate inputs from Engineering, Purchasing, Finance and Operations; ensure accurate commercial data entry and reporting; maintain documentation/version control; support KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives; ensure compliance with company governance and quality standards.

Lead delivery, security, availability and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure and workplace technology. Own service management (ITIL), Service Desk operations, supplier management, operational resilience, budgets, and cross-team alignment to ensure secure, reliable, cost-effective IT services and drive automation, standardisation and service improvements.

Manage programme commercial and financial activities: prepare quotations, maintain cost & price spreadsheets, negotiate with customers, report programme financial status, support RFQ responses, lead cross-functional meetings, and improve costing/quotation processes.

Manage customer quality issues across program lifecycle, support NPI using APQP/PPAP, define measurement and test methods (SPC/DOE), lead problem-solving (8D), prepare Control Plans and PFMEAs, support supplier development, conduct audits, track KPI/warranty performance, and train production teams.

Supervise and coordinate shift production teams to meet targets, ensure health & safety compliance, manage staffing and KPIs, drive continuous improvement, maintain data and quality standards, liaise with support departments, and cover for Shift Manager when required.
