Develops and maintains EHS policies, compliance calendars, audits, inspections, hazard assessments, training, behavioral safety programs, records, reports, and safety KPIs. Supports environmental hazard reduction, return-to-work programs, investigations, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a safe workplace and regulatory compliance.

Designs and improves manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and workflows to transition new products to production. Collaborates with R&D, Quality, Materials, and suppliers on manufacturability, engineering change orders, BOM/ERP maintenance, inspection criteria, RCCA, and production support within an ISO9001/AS9100D environment.

Performs general metal fabrication tasks including washing, grinding, sanding, drilling, deburring, measuring, and inspecting components. Interprets blueprints and specifications, documents nonconformances, tracks labor electronically, maintains tools and work areas, follows safety and PPE procedures, and completes crane/hoist training. Requires careful material handling, independent work, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Manage daily plant manufacturing operations including staffing, equipment maintenance, scheduling, process definition, quality, safety, cost control, production reporting, preventive maintenance, rework and training. Lead problem solving, coordinate with sales/program management, and drive on-time delivery while overseeing employee performance and compliance with manufacturing standards.

Prepare and set up CNC machines for production runs: follow dispatch lists, install and align tooling and fixtures, program offsets, validate tooling and parameters, monitor and troubleshoot machine operations, read blueprints, ensure safety and quality, and support operators with technical guidance.

Ensure products and processes meet customer, company, and industry quality standards. Develop APQP documentation, inspection plans, and statistical controls; lead MRB activities; evaluate First Articles; perform audits and training; use quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma) to drive process and product improvements.

Create and validate manufacturing routings and Bill of Materials, generate item master numbers, estimate manufacturing times, print/distribute production paperwork, read and interpret drawings, follow ISO/quality procedures, and coordinate with teams to support metal fabrication production.

Set up, operate and program CNC machines (using Virtual Gibbs/G-code) from complex drawings; select tooling; inspect and document non-conformances; log job times/specs; maintain tools/work area and follow safety procedures.

Hands-on role supporting and operating laser, waterjet, and press brake equipment; troubleshooting, setup, preventive maintenance, tooling and fixture development, DFM feedback, process standardization, operator training, and continuous improvement to improve uptime, reduce setup time, and ensure manufacturability during NPI.

Lead evaluation, implementation, and optimization of robotic welding, finishing, and material-handling automation. Develop automation roadmaps and business cases, program and troubleshoot robotic systems, support DFM, lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives, train production staff, and manage automation capital projects from selection through commissioning to improve throughput, quality, ergonomics, and labor efficiency.

Lead estimating and quoting for complex manufacturing programs; develop cost models, validate routings and cycle times, evaluate make-vs-buy, maintain estimating databases, support contract reviews, track estimate accuracy, lead and mentor staff, and ensure compliance with aerospace/defense and quality standards.
