Develop and test autonomous UAV copilot systems, integrating software with partner autopilots and fixed-wing or multirotor platforms. Build navigation and decision-making features, create companion-compute solutions, and support rapid prototyping, flight testing, and real-world deployment. The role involves Python and C++ development in Linux environments, with opportunities to work on ROS, computer vision, simulation, and low-power edge systems.

Lead the systems engineering design authority for a new UAS product, defining architecture, CONOPS, requirements, interfaces, performance budgets, technology choices, and integration strategies. Establish scalable requirements, verification, traceability, documentation, and interface-control processes while guiding junior engineers. Make technical decisions, support customer and certification discussions, integrate hardware and software, and advance AI-augmented systems engineering practices for autonomous products.
