Appalachian Mountain Club Benefits Overview

Supervises seasonal Storehouse employees and manages logistics supporting AMC facilities and programs. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining a 25-plus-vehicle fleet, scheduling rentals and maintenance, maintaining DOT records, training drivers, ensuring safety and OSHA compliance, coordinating deliveries and airlift operations, managing inventory and purchasing, processing interdepartmental charges, and responding to vehicle emergencies. The role also involves manual labor, light mechanical work, vendor coordination, and occasional overtime.

Lead coalition-based conservation and recreation policy work in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Build relationships with government, partners, and volunteers; analyze legislation and regulations; run advocacy campaigns; write communications and policy materials; organize events and grant proposals; represent AMC regionally and coordinate across internal teams to advance land, water, recreation, climate, and equity priorities.

Manage and develop Appalachian Mountain Club education programs in Piscataquis County: build partnerships, design and teach day and residential outdoor curricula aligned to NGSS, supervise staff, handle logistics, safety and incidents, manage budgets and inventories, evaluate outcomes, and support grant reporting and community engagement.
