Build and own backend systems, APIs, billing infrastructure, payout capabilities, and monetization features for Apify creators. Work end-to-end in a cross-functional team, contribute to open source, use TypeScript and Node.js, debug and deploy reliable services, and help evolve payment infrastructure for an AI-focused platform. The role involves two-week sprints, daily deployments, testing, code reviews, and close collaboration with community developers and internal teams.

Build and maintain Apify’s core backend platform, including Actor execution, storage systems, standby services, proxy and unblocker services, public APIs, Console infrastructure, AWS deployments, and deployment automation. Collaborate in a cross-functional team to develop, debug, test, monitor, and continuously deploy scalable backend services using TypeScript/Node.js and cloud-native technologies.

Own Apify’s paid acquisition strategy, channels, budget, attribution model, testing program, and performance marketing team. Lead hiring and development, manage acquisition budgets and efficiency targets, build scalable reporting and experimentation systems, and collaborate with Product Marketing, Product, Sales, Data, and Finance. Within six months, deliver a performance marketing roadmap, optimize campaigns, improve acquisition metrics, and establish unified attribution and operating processes.

Own and build the Apify MCP Server to expose Actors as reliable agent-callable tools, maintain evolving protocols and authorization, shape the Apify agent runtime, enable agent discovery and payments, and create evals from production traces to catch regressions and measure product changes.

Improve and operate Apify's monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), define actionable alerting, shape incident processes and runbooks, collaborate with platform and product engineers to raise reliability standards, publish monitoring/alerting guidelines, and own the monitoring improvement roadmap.

Lead Apify's branding efforts, define brand narrative, drive global marketing campaigns, manage a team, and enhance brand awareness through strategic initiatives.
