Software engineering interns will own end-to-end projects supporting satellite platform testing systems. Work may span ground support equipment and flight hardware, including software design, analysis, building, and testing. Interns receive mentorship, participate in aerospace learning sessions, and collaborate with engineering teams on impactful spacecraft projects.

Ground Software Engineering Interns will design, develop, deploy, and maintain software operating spacecraft. Interns will contribute to scoped projects and software-stack tickets while working closely with engineers, receiving mentorship, and participating in aerospace learning sessions. The role requires software architecture knowledge and enrollment in a related BS or MS program, with graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028. Spring interns must be able to adjust academic commitments during the 12-week program.

Develop and improve software controlling satellites, including embedded systems, simulations, and user interfaces. Interns will enhance microcontroller software for space applications and develop embedded software for new spacecraft hardware components. The 10–12 week program includes a project with meaningful impact, mentorship, aerospace learning sessions, and professional networking.

Provides in-house legal support across commercial and supply chain contracts, government contracting compliance, intellectual property, regulatory matters, litigation coordination, investigations, dispute resolution, and M&A. The role drafts and negotiates agreements, develops contract processes and training, advises cross-functional stakeholders, identifies legal risks, and supports evolving corporate legal priorities.

Own the product definition, roadmap, configurations, interfaces, upgrades, and mission services for Apex spacecraft platforms. Translate customer and market needs into product requirements while balancing cost, schedule, performance, manufacturability, and production rate. Partner with engineering, mission integration, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, business development, and customers. Maintain specifications and customer documentation, track competitive offerings and success metrics, and guide platform improvements from test and flight experience.

Create graphics, illustrations, proposal materials, and customer presentation decks supporting business development across government and commercial markets. Manage the proposal graphics library, maintain brand consistency, translate technical concepts into accessible visuals, and collaborate with engineering, marketing, UX, and sales teams under tight deadlines.

Leads and scales Apex’s capture organization, manages Capture Managers, and owns the companywide capture process. Personally directs major space and satellite pursuits from opportunity identification through award, developing win strategies, technical proposals, and customer presentations. Partners with business development and engineering teams to shape compliant, competitive solutions, manage risks, and improve win probability. Establishes proposal best practices, mentors cross-functional teams, and maintains reusable content and lessons learned.

Lead and manage Apex's IT infrastructure, operations, security, and staff. Oversee network, cloud, backups, procurement, projects, vendor and budget management, incident response, compliance, and end-user support while aligning IT strategy with business goals.

Leads enterprise cybersecurity strategy, SOC operations, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, security tooling, and governance, risk, and compliance. Oversees security teams, budgets, policies, audits, accreditations, automation, executive reporting, and incident readiness. Requires extensive cybersecurity operations and SOC leadership experience, expertise with enterprise security tools and compliance frameworks, and the ability to work in regulated aerospace environments.

Drive commercial growth across the Americas by identifying, developing, and closing satellite-bus business opportunities. Own full-cycle deal execution, pipeline development, forecasting, account strategies, customer relationships, and bookings. Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings, while providing market feedback to influence product roadmaps, pricing, and competitive positioning.

Drive international growth for Apex’s satellite bus business by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities. Own full-cycle deal management, pipeline development, forecasting, account strategies, and enterprise transactions across new and existing aerospace accounts. Build executive-level customer relationships, represent Apex at industry events, and develop strategic partnerships in assigned international markets. The role requires deep satellite market knowledge, quota-carrying sales experience, and U.S. Person status or eligibility for export authorizations due to ITAR and EAR requirements.

The Mission Operations Engineer will oversee satellite operations, including mission planning, anomaly detection, and system monitoring. Responsibilities include developing mission plans, collaborating with engineering teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

As a Staff Power Electronics Engineer, drive the design of avionics, flight computer, and power systems for spacecraft. Lead verification testing and collaborate with cross-discipline teams to innovate and improve hardware.

Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical operating system software for satellite platforms. Responsibilities include embedded Linux configuration, bootloader development, secure firmware updates, recovery mechanisms, and software security enhancements. The role spans the full software lifecycle, from architecture and prototyping through deployment and flight operations, with collaboration across mission operations, GNC, hardware, and embedded software teams.

Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical spacecraft operating system and flight software. Responsibilities include low-level processor and avionics interface software, embedded Linux platforms, bootloaders, firmware update and recovery mechanisms, and security enhancements. The role involves hardware and software integration, validation, debugging, and collaboration with mission operations, GNC, and hardware teams to support reliable autonomous spacecraft operations.

Supports the Proposal Development team by managing calendars, deadlines, response trackers, meeting minutes, process documentation, stakeholder communications, and quality standards. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Plans and executes spacecraft payload integration, space vehicle environmental and functional testing, launch-site activities, customer documentation, requirements verification, and technical risk assessment. Collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams and customers to integrate payloads, conduct design reviews, resolve technical issues, and ensure mission compliance.
