Design, build, optimize, and test atom-optic sensors and frequency standards. Coordinate fabrication and assembly of vacuum cells and optomechanics, specify optical and control subsystem requirements, integrate atomic units with lasers, evaluate sensitivity and environmental susceptibilities, and contribute to research proposals for fieldable devices.

Hands-on R&D engineer to design, assemble, and test compact optomechanical and optical systems for quantum sensors and clocks. Collaborate with physicists and engineers on prototyping, vacuum systems, laser alignment, PCB test plans, and validation testing. Procure components, coordinate fabrication, and report test results.

Lead design and implementation of control systems for atom-optic sensors. Define architectures, design low-noise analog/digital/RF electronics, oversee PCB/ASIC/FPGA development, manage schedules/budgets, coordinate testing and documentation, and support hardware through validation and field transition.
