The role partners closely with engineering and quality teams to mature suppliers and scale production from prototyping to full-rate manufacturing.

Leads end-to-end development of advanced space payloads, from concept and simulation through prototyping, integration, and operational deployment. The role develops mission concepts, evaluates payload performance, makes technology investment and make-versus-buy decisions, engages government and commercial stakeholders, and drives technical reviews. Strong multidisciplinary expertise in physics, sensing, thermal-fluid systems, power systems, engineering economics, and space operations is required, along with leadership of complex defense, energy, intelligence, or NASA-related programs.

Leads Antares’ communications and marketing function, developing strategy aligned with business objectives, customer engagement, stakeholder relations, events, internal communications, executive messaging, brand and digital presence, crisis management, and content production. Advises senior leadership, prepares executives for high-profile engagements, manages external partners, and builds the team and budget. The role supports defense, government, commercial, international, investor, regulatory, community, and employee audiences while helping the company scale through rapid growth and major milestones.

Own reliability for CNC and other critical manufacturing equipment. Lead breakdown troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, CMMS implementation, spare-parts strategy, root-cause analysis, commissioning, reliability metrics, and improvement projects. Coordinate vendors and cross-functional teams while ensuring equipment safety, uptime, maintenance readiness, and production support. The role may require off-shift, weekend, or on-call support and up to 10% travel.

Own the full lifecycle of tooling and ground support equipment for microreactor manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, installation, maintenance, and decommissioning. Design detailed CAD models and drawings, perform mechanical analysis, collaborate with fabrication teams and suppliers, commission equipment, and support factory and field operations. Develop safe, ergonomic, reliable solutions for lifting, handling, alignment, testing, and deployment of complex hardware in safety-critical environments.

Own quantitative reliability engineering for a nuclear microreactor, including reliability and availability modeling, fault-tree and failure-mode analysis, reliability predictions, test strategy, statistical analysis, and reliability growth. Translate plant-level capacity-factor goals into component requirements, identify key failure risks, guide design improvements, and communicate reliability recommendations to engineering and program leadership. Establish internal reliability methods, standards, dashboards, and best practices for safety- and mission-critical reactor systems.

Develop infrastructure and tooling for cloud and on-premises applications and compute workloads. Responsibilities include improving deployment automation, integrating systems, creating Grafana dashboards and alerts, standardizing Python data projects, migrating cluster infrastructure to Rocky Linux and Warewulf, building storage and compute-usage tools, optimizing cloud costs, and documenting quality processes. The role is onsite in Torrance, California, and includes substantive software and systems projects.

Coordinate aerodynamics, mechanical design, structures, rotordynamics, bearings, thermal analysis, manufacturing, and test teams while balancing performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability, risk, and schedule.

Supports accounts payable, finance transactions, reporting, dashboards, and business operations projects. Identifies manual workflows and builds lightweight tools and automations using Python, APIs, AI, scripting, and automation platforms. Own and expand model-based embedded control software for a power conversion system.
