Evaluate market structure, regulatory developments, partner needs, technical feasibility, and business impact while delivering developer-focused infrastructure at scale.

Build and operate backend systems for securities lending, short borrowing, clearing, settlement, and brokerage operations. Own projects from scoping through production, develop partner APIs and batch pipelines, improve system scalability and reliability, integrate with external partners, and participate in on-call support. The role requires strong distributed-systems fundamentals and interest in securities finance and market infrastructure.

Lead the architecture and technical direction of Alpaca’s Trading API customer experience. Own identity, authentication, authorization, account models, partner access, and customer-facing trading applications. Drive backend modernization, real-time trading features, security practices, safe production delivery, observability, incident prevention, design reviews, and engineering mentorship. Collaborate with Product, Design, Compliance, Security, Brokerage Operations, and platform teams while remaining a hands-on principal contributor.

Own Alpaca’s tokenization product vision, roadmap, metrics, and flagship initiatives across minting, redemption, settlement, custody, and on-chain issuance. Partner with engineering, legal, compliance, operations, partnerships, and institutional clients to deliver regulated tokenization infrastructure. Lead issuer and authorized-participant experiences, broker enablement, partner discovery, regulatory alignment, and build-versus-buy decisions for tokenized securities and real-world assets.

Owns execution of the enterprise risk management program for a regulated financial services company. Responsibilities include managing risk intake, maintaining risk registers in Vanta, validating residual scores, tracking mitigation plans, defining KRIs, coordinating cross-functional risk leads, identifying emerging risks, and preparing executive and board reporting. The role also supports ERM governance workflows, local entity risk updates, escalation processes, and risk-management playbooks.

Lead Alpaca’s global Trading API customer experience organization, including General and VIP Support. Build a follow-the-sun coverage model, establish service standards and KPIs, improve support through data, AI, automation, and self-service, and develop high-performing teams. Partner with Product, Engineering, Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Sales to resolve recurring issues, improve customer workflows, and support institutional trading customers.

Drive the Trading API and Alpaca Connect Marketplace roadmap, including partner onboarding, app discovery, OAuth experiences, and platform utilities. Define product strategy and requirements, analyze customer behavior and ROI, own product metrics, optimize acquisition and retention funnels, and lead go-to-market initiatives that increase adoption, trading volume, and revenue. Collaborate with engineering, design, data, marketing, sales, partnerships, and operations.

Design, build, and maintain scalable brokerage systems, including Go or similar backend services, gRPC microservices, React administrative interfaces, and vendor integrations. Lead regional engineering reliability, incident response, recruitment initiatives, mentoring, and cross-functional projects. Collaborate globally to support multiple markets, currencies, languages, regulatory requirements, and 24x7 platform stability. Troubleshoot production incidents and bugs while developing high-availability financial applications.

Serve as the technical and product expert for enterprise partners, supporting API integrations, onboarding, solution design, demos, RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical sales engagements. Manage customer relationships, translate business and regulatory requirements for global product and engineering teams, coordinate with local partners and regulators, and support localized product adoption. The role requires strong API and integration expertise, Mandarin fluency, enterprise customer experience, and collaboration across sales, product, engineering, compliance, and operations.

Own end-to-end enterprise integration projects for Alpaca’s brokerage APIs, coordinating customers and internal product, engineering, compliance, legal, operations, and customer success teams. Manage timelines, risks, dependencies, partner communications, onboarding requirements, feature requests, and leadership reporting. Improve scalable onboarding processes while troubleshooting technical issues and supporting fintech partners with API integrations, regulatory requirements, and new product launches.

Support due diligence and third-party risk reviews for fintech and financial institution partners. Responsibilities include evaluating documentation, conducting KYC, KYB, AML, and enhanced due diligence reviews, tracking onboarding requirements, communicating with partners, identifying risk indicators, maintaining records, and coordinating with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Product, and Project Management teams to ensure integrations meet regulatory and internal standards.

Build and operate Alpaca’s liquidity risk infrastructure, including daily and intraday liquidity reporting, data pipelines, monitoring, alerting, controls, and stress testing. Develop deterministic and Monte Carlo liquidity models, support SEC and FINRA reporting, assess funding and settlement risks, and provide analysis for Treasury, Risk, regulatory, and management stakeholders. Partner cross-functionally on new products, margin systems, governance, and risk controls.

Architect and deliver scalable brokerage and platform services for new regional markets. Own architecture, APIs, performance, reliability, and operational readiness across multi-region and multi-currency systems. Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, support regional hiring, handle incident escalations, improve monitoring and response, and collaborate with Product, Compliance, and global engineering stakeholders on Singapore requirements.

Own Alpaca’s market data product strategy and revenue growth. Define sourcing, licensing, entitlements, pricing, packaging, build-versus-buy decisions, API capabilities, developer experience, and partner priorities. Lead exchange and vendor negotiations, assess competitive positioning, and deliver real-time, delayed, historical, and derived market data products across asset classes and geographies.

Support Account Executives and Sales leadership through customer research, meeting preparation, proposals, sales materials, pipeline analysis, follow-up coordination, onboarding, and enablement. Build repeatable workflows across CRM, AI tools, and internal data sources; improve data quality, automate recurring work, maintain sales resources, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to increase sales productivity and scalability.

Own Alpaca’s growth data strategy across acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and monetization. Build experimentation frameworks, causal and incrementality analyses, funnel and cohort models, LTV/CAC and churn forecasts, marketing measurement, governed growth metrics, and self-serve analytics. Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Finance to influence strategy and roadmaps, communicate insights to leadership, mentor data professionals, and establish standards for growth analytics.

Build and scale global payments and treasury systems using resilient, event-driven, microservice-based architecture. Design and implement cloud-native services, client-facing APIs, distributed systems, payment rails, financial ledgers, and reconciliation solutions. Collaborate independently and across teams, troubleshoot complex issues, maintain high-quality tested code, and contribute to technical and product goal definition.

Own the data transformation layer by building scalable dbt and SQL models on Trino and GCP infrastructure. Establish standards for modeling, testing, monitoring, version control, and data quality. Partner with finance, operations, customer success, marketing, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products for BI, reporting, and reverse ETL. Optimize warehouse performance and ETL efficiency while supporting near-real-time metrics and financial reporting.
