Designs and develops industrial furnaces, ovens, heaters, kilns, and thermal systems from concept through production. Creates CAD models, drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation; applies mechanical design and design-for-manufacturability principles; supports prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement. Collaborates with production, purchasing, sales, and leadership to develop cost-effective, safe, reliable, and customer-focused engineered products.

Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems for industrial furnace and thermal processing equipment using SolidWorks. Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, configurable assemblies, and CAD standards. Standardize components, improve manufacturability, reduce costs, support manufacturing, and resolve production issues. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain on product introductions, continuous improvement, and product quality.

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, manual machines, and horizontal boring mills to produce large, precision components. Read blueprints, determine tooling and machining sequences, inspect parts using precision measuring equipment, and perform machine maintenance. The role also involves material handling, safety compliance, quality assurance, and cross-training. Experience with Fanuc controls, HBM equipment, G-code, M-code, forklifts, and overhead cranes is preferred.

Set up and operate Fanuc-controlled horizontal boring mills and lathes on 2nd shift to produce precision parts. Perform setups, use measurement tools to verify tolerances, perform routine maintenance, load/unload materials, read blueprints/BOMs, and follow safety procedures. Operate additional machines and assist material handling as needed.

Lead procurement, inventory, material planning, and supplier management for two manufacturing sites. Optimize inventory and working capital, run MRP activities, coordinate material flow, manage outside processors and suppliers, develop sourcing strategies, and lead a purchasing team to improve on-time delivery, supplier performance, and continuous improvement.
