The role requires strong organization, note-taking, communication, independent judgment, deadline management, and frequent national travel.

Provides technical expertise and support on employee retirement, health, welfare, insurance, and benefits programs. Interprets ERISA, ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, and tax requirements; drafts benefits communications and newsletters; supports negotiations and training; advises labor relations staff and pilot representatives; and monitors benefits legislation and trends.

Provides legal and labour-relations support to pilots and governing bodies, including collective bargaining, contract administration, grievances, arbitration, dispute resolution, litigation, case management, and Transport Canada hearing summaries. Coordinates negotiations, advises members on employment matters, manages urgent safety-related inquiries, and may supervise administrative staff or paralegals. Requires significant travel and collaboration with aviation professionals, union representatives, and pilots.

Develops, tests, and maintains complex mobile and web applications, database integrations, and data repositories using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem. Gathers requirements, performs systems analysis and design, collaborates with architects and technology specialists, and supports technical architecture standards. Translates reporting needs into database designs, advises management on technology direction, documents solutions, and contributes to policy compliance and problem resolution. The role requires approximately 5–10% local, national, and international travel.

The Digital Content Coordinator develops and executes digital content strategies and communications for websites, email, social media, print, and other platforms. Responsibilities include content editing, website maintenance, email design, digital and print production, project coordination, quality control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The role collaborates with communications leaders, pilots, IT staff, vendors, and internal teams while managing multiple projects and supporting member engagement.

Develops and advances ALPA’s federal legislative priorities through Capitol Hill and executive branch advocacy. Analyzes legislation and regulations, drafts legislative proposals and issue papers, advises on legislative strategy, and represents the association with government and industry stakeholders. Requires strong aviation policy knowledge, established Republican relationships, legislative drafting expertise, and senior-level transportation policy experience. The role involves 5–10% travel, including frequent local travel throughout metropolitan Washington, D.C.

Performs copy editing, proofreading, editorial quality control, desktop publishing, document formatting, layout review, and publication coordination for print and digital communications. Ensures adherence to editorial, brand, accessibility, and Chicago Manual of Style standards. Coordinates translation workflows and collaborates with writers, designers, translators, production staff, and subject matter experts to deliver accurate, publication-ready materials on deadline.

Supports organization-wide project planning, execution, reporting, documentation, scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder communications, and adherence to PMO standards. Coordinates cross-functional business and technology teams, creates reports and dashboards, tracks project progress, and contributes to process improvement. Independently administers smaller projects under PMO Manager oversight.

Provides administrative support for office workflow, meetings, events, committees, expense reporting, reception, and event planning. Coordinates with supervisors and colleagues to complete assignments promptly, provides backup support, and assists with committee activities. Requires strong communication, writing, interpersonal, proofreading, computer, and organizational skills, along with flexibility and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
