The Fullstack Backend Engineer will work with a team to enhance the appointment management system for Veterans, employing Ruby on Rails and React to deliver impactful solutions. Responsibilities include developing APIs, collaborating across teams, ensuring code quality, and championing best practices in an Agile environment.

Build and maintain production-grade APIs, services, developer tooling (SDKs, CLIs, validators), and documentation. Implement CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud environments, and observability. The Fullstack Engineer will develop and enhance a VA patient portal using Ruby and React, focusing on user experience, performance, and security, while collaborating with a cross-functional team in a remote setting.

Serve as the on-call triage point between end users and engineering: track and resolve incoming issues, reproduce and document defects, create actionable tickets, build triage processes, monitor support metrics, and drive continuous improvement across support operations.

The Technical Architect will lead a cross-functional team to improve Veterans' digital healthcare experience through architecture and development using modern technologies and agile practices.
