The Controller supervises the finance department, managing accounting activities, audits, budgeting, financial reporting, and oversees Accounting Managers and staff.

Lead and supervise the finance department, manage day-to-day accounting (AP/AR, GL, cash management), oversee audits, budgeting, financial reporting, grant and claims operations, and system upgrades. Ensure compliance with federal/state funding rules, present financial analyses to leadership, and manage accounting staff and policies.

Performs person-centered in-person assessments to determine MI Choice Waiver eligibility; evaluates medical, functional, psychological, financial, and environmental needs; develops and monitors person-centered long-term care plans; coordinates services and community resources; maintains accurate records/EMR entries; participates in quality audits, meetings, and case transfers; travels across assigned counties.

Provide advocacy and assistance to long-term care residents and families: investigate and resolve complaints, educate on rights, refer community resources, support placement decisions, conduct outreach, train and supervise volunteers, attend required meetings, and perform contract monitoring and reporting.

Performs person-centered comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility for the MI Choice Waiver Program, develops and monitors individualized long-term care plans, coordinates services and community resources, conducts monitoring contacts, maintains records in the electronic medical record, and participates in team meetings and quality activities. Requires Michigan professional social work license and regional travel.

The SW Supports Coordinator conducts assessments, coordinates support services, develops long-term care plans, and monitors participant needs within the MI Choice Waiver Program.
