Founding People Ops Lead owns end-to-end recruiting, onboarding, payroll inputs, benefits, HR compliance, office setup and day-to-day operations in Barcelona, finance ops coordination with external bookkeeper, and building internal AI agents to automate sourcing and recurring workflows.

This internship at Afori offers three tracks focusing on building knowledge systems, redesigning websites, or improving automation processes. Interns will lead projects, collaborate with the founding team, and gain real experience in an AI-first startup environment.

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and AI agent orchestration for an insurance-focused platform. Own API and microservice performance, collaborate with AI/ML teams to deploy models, optimize reliability and data integration, and deliver context engineering and RAG solutions to automate broker back-office tasks.
