As a Founding Senior Product Manager, you are the bridge between our insurance brokerage customers, the market, and our engineering & AI teams. Your deep understanding of product building will be critical in shaping the next generation of AI agents that transform brokers’ daily work in a simple and intuitive product experience.
You will translate complex broker workflows into clear user journeys, prioritize the right problems, and ensure that Afori always builds what matters most. You will help to build the most modern insurance brokers and will focus on creating AI that can take over 80% of the daily repetitive work of the brokers.
- Product & Vision: Own core product areas and help define the roadmap that automate backoffice and customer-facing workflows for brokers.
- Voice of the Broker: Deeply understand the core pain points and optimisation potentials of insurance brokers in Germany to decide on what to build first.
- Workflow Definition: Analyze and translate insurance processes (Deckungsprüfungen, Schadenmeldungen, Vertragsänderungen, Angebotsanfragen, etc.) into clear product specifications for engineering and AI teams.
- Customer Discovery: Lead continuous user interviews, feedback loops, and shadow sessions with brokers to test assumptions early and often.
- Execution: Drive outcomes, not outputs: from hypothesis to launch to iteration.
- Data-Informed Decisions: Use both qualitative and quantitative insights to refine prioritization and measure success.
- 5+ years working as a product owner, product lead in a high growth environment.
- Experience in building B2B products, preferably in Insurtech or Fintech.
- Fluent English and German (as a plus): you can communicate naturally with brokers and industry experts.
- Proven experience in product management, process optimization, or solution building.
- Strong understanding of how to drive automation in B2B workflows, increasing efficiency, while keeping the user experience intuitive.
- Ability to break down complex operational challenges into simple, elegant product solutions and communicate those clearly.
- You thrive in a high-performance team that debates ideas fiercely but unites behind decisions.
