Plan, fabricate, assemble, and fine-tune prototype and short-run components, fixtures, tooling, and machine mechanisms. Support automated equipment builds, collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to solve tooling and manufacturability challenges, perform inspections, and operate manual and CNC toolroom equipment.

Support Mechanical Engineering team with SolidWorks-based design of custom automated equipment, assist with part lists and BOM management, and perform various engineering tasks while gaining hands-on experience.

Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies using SolidWorks for custom automation projects. Create manufacturable drawings, manage designs from concept through commissioning, integrate robotics, pneumatics, sensors and vision systems, support shop-floor build and troubleshooting, identify failure modes, and mentor junior designers.

AeroSpec is seeking engineering interns to assist with design, CAD modeling, testing projects, and hands-on training in assembly and production.
