The Senior Manager of Media Relations will support media outreach, build reporter relationships, develop and edit communications materials, prepare experts for interviews, monitor news, measure communications effectiveness, and manage media database vendors. The role advances organizational messaging, advocacy, and brand priorities across aerospace and defense audiences. Candidates need 4–7 years of communications experience, excellent writing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and PR platforms such as Cision.

Lead AIAdefense procurement policy work: analyze and advocate on acquisition regulations, coordinate councils and committees, represent AIA to government and industry, draft communications and testimony, and build consensus among members.

Lead speechwriting, edit long-form products, and develop content strategy translating complex policy into accessible external, member-facing, internal, and digital communications. Manage social and website content, editorial calendar, and support media materials across teams.

Lead AIA's defense trade policy and advocacy agenda, managing committees, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, regulatory monitoring, and division operations to advance international defense trade and exportability objectives.
