The Controller leads fiscal operations and accounting staff, manages month-end close, journal entries, check runs, general ledger reviews, HUD financials, budgets, payroll-related reporting, audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. The role supervises multiple accounting and billing functions, supports policy development, maintains funding-source relationships, and ensures organizational deadlines and filing requirements are met.
