Creates billing invoices from medical records, establishes and updates customer and billing records, verifies insurance benefits, supports audit-driven quality improvements, and assists with process refinement. The role requires confidentiality, accuracy, productivity, punctuality, strong communication, and familiarity with ambulance-related Medicare and Medicaid regulations. This is an in-office, Monday through Friday position in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Provides service desk and desktop support by troubleshooting hardware, software, access, and application issues; installing systems; resolving and documenting help requests; assisting employees remotely, by phone, email, and onsite; creating technical documentation; and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The intern must pursue computer-related education, obtain ITF+ and A+ certifications, understand HIPAA, and travel to company locations as needed.

Processes and resolves insurance claims for the air ambulance division, including status checks, appeals, rejection reviews, payment discrepancy resolution, federal compliance checks, correspondence handling, insurance verification, and demographic accuracy. The role also involves communicating with payers, patients, and coworkers while meeting productivity, confidentiality, and company policy requirements.

Provide timely pre-hospital care and transportation for sick and injured patients, ensuring proper documentation and equipment maintenance.
