Four days into the new year and DFW has its first transplant tech company of 2022. On Tuesday, marketing automation software company Review Wave announced it would be relocating to McKinney.

Founded in 2016 and currently based in Irvine, California, Review Wave makes SaaS software for medical clinics with the goal of automating patient experience. The company’s software helps doctors schedule appointments and remind patients about upcoming visits. It also facilities SMS communication and helps direct patients to write online reviews.

Review Wave will occupy the third floor of the 300 East Davis building near downtown McKinney. The company will start in a 12,000-square-foot space and expand into the full 20,697-square-foot office over time.

The relocation includes an agreement with the McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), an independent nonprofit organization that attracts new business development to the city. As part of the agreement, Review Wave will create 73 new tech and executive jobs over the next three years with an average salary of $76,000. With the new positions, the tech company will boost its employee base from 57 to 130.

“We are so excited to partner with Review Wave on their relocation here in McKinney,” Peter Tokar, president of the MEDC, said in a release. “The Review Wave team has been great to work with and we know they are going to hit the ground running given their record of growth.”

The company says it is moving to DFW to expedite growth. Review Wave has been featured in the previous three iterations of the Inc. 500 list and hopes to be included for a fourth consecutive year.

According to Miguel Esparza, project manager for the MEDC, Review Wave is aiming to be fully moved into the new headquarters by mid-January.

“We’re ecstatic that Review Wave will move into their new space at 300 E. Davis to kick off the new year in McKinney,” Esparza added.

McKinney is home to several startups such as Language Learning Market, ContraForce and ShearShare, and over the years has become a magnet for tech companies, pulling in startups from across the country. In addition to Review Wave, CourMed, MyTelemedicine and Robin Autopilot have also recently opened headquarters in the city.
