Metropolis, an AI company known for its computer vision platform that enables checkout-free payment experiences, has acquired Oosto, a provider of AI-powered security and video analytics solutions. The acquisition will expand Oosto’s reach and accelerate its AI-powered safety and security offerings.
Metropolis operates in over 4,000 locations, serves more than 50 million customers and processes over $5 billion in payments annually. Oosto has expanded into multiple verticals and applications and increased its revenue by more than double in recent years.
The new partnership will leverage the combined expertise of both companies to enhance efficiency, safety and customer experiences across various sectors, such as public safety, enterprise, retail, banking and financial services, healthcare, fitness centers and critical infrastructure. Following the acquisition, Oosto’s team and employees will integrate into Metropolis.
