New research service helps sales organizations improve data quality
It seems obvious. It is hard to sell to someone without accurate contact information.
Salesforce.com estimates that 91% of CRM data is incomplete and 70% of data in CRM goes bad annually.
CleanMyCRM.com, a new service launched by Macon Raine, Inc., an inbound marketing agency, helps companies improve the quality of the contacts in their CRM systems.
Companies upload incomplete contact records to CleanMyCRM.com. A team of analysts then reviews each record manually and uses open source tools to research each contact record. When information about the contact is available, the contact information is updated, on average, within a week.
For Zach Hubeck, director of sales and marketing at WAV, Inc., the decision to use CleanMyCRM.com was simple. “We had nearly 8500 incomplete records in our database. Assigning an intern to the project would take forever. Using a list append service was cost prohibitive. CleanMyCRM delivered clean records in a little more than a week.”
According to Ben Bradley, president of Macon Raine, “outdated or incomplete contact records are a waste of time for the sales organization. Sales reps should spend time selling, not vainly turning over rocks on the Internet, looking for accurate contact info. Going through a CRM list can take hours, even days. Contact information is like produce. It goes bad. By the time you finish researching, your contacts have already started to spoil. This is something many companies don’t have the resources for, and we wanted to find a way to make it easier for them.”
