India is on a path to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070, but in the near-term the country aims to significantly increase its renewable energy gigawatt, or GW, output. NTPC, which stands for National Thermal Power Corporation, is India’s biggest integrated power company. NTPC, based in New Delhi, says it is committed to renewable energy. Its mix of energy sources includes fossil fuels, hydro, nuclear, gas and renewable resources. The company says it is dedicated to three Ps: people, the planet and power.
GE Aerospace has a variety of energy initiatives in India, including championing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), developing hybrid electric propulsion engines for aircraft, helping to develop engines with lower fuel needs and carbon emissions, and creating software that helps pilots make the most of fuel. Its India office is in Bengaluru.
Azure Power says it is one of the biggest solar and sustainable energy organizations in India. The company says it built India’s first utility-scale project back in 2009.

UL Solutions, a Chicago-based company, helps India-based organizations comply with regulations, including HVAC energy efficiencies.
