Job Title:  Senior Trading Specialist

Job Duties: Spearhead strategy development to ensure clients stay competitive in key areas including first-party data management and activation, CTV consolidation and retail measurement. Upsell clients on various company offerings including VAS Features, Retail Integrations, and Third-Party Measurement integrations that uniquely differentiate The Trade Desk from competitor demand side platforms (DSP). Understand client success metrics, evaluating and testing alternatives and strategizing the most optimal approach to maximize revenue, client performance, and growth. Lead data-driven conversations utilizing TTD platform and custom reporting to provide insights and tell client relevant stories to provide a full picture of advertising’s impact on business results. Leverage various databases such as TTD’s proprietary reporting, Tableau dashboards, Vertica pulls, and Ad Server reporting to analyze performance and help tie media investment to quantifiable business outcomes.  Data visualization techniques to calibrate and visualize attribution models that allocate credit to different touch points along the customer journey. Consult with clients on their campaign goals and strategies to ensure they are maximizing the value TTD’s platform provides Operate as a power user of TTD’s UI and empower clients to also become power users to plan, execute, optimize and build on successful advertising campaigns most effectively. Work with clients to understand key success metrics and strategize to adopt relevant TTD features such as audience segments, ad quality rails, and identity graph to make optimal use of the platform while maximizing performance. Identify gaps in client knowledge regarding TTD products, proprietary offerings and create and pitch educational training materials to enhances clients’ ability to trade programmatically within the TTD DSP. Build and own key relationships with client planning, trading and analytical teams. Identify pivotal stakeholders, grasp their requirements and obstacles, and forge strategic partnerships by offering potential solutions to optimize client expansion. Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and product managers to solve complex technical problems including cross-platform frequency analysis, consumer journey visualizations and API solutions. Create custom solutions such as algorithms for clients in tandem with technical account management and solutions architect team to add automation into day-to-day trading and optimize across a large volume of campaigns simultaneously. Collaborate cross-functionally to enroll clients in alpha/beta testing initiatives for platform upgrades and measurement integrations, analyzing outcomes to discern variables, assess their impact and inform product upgrades. Streamline client access to impression feeds, exposure logs, and log level reporting in collaboration with the technical account management and solutions architect teams utilizing different S3 buckets and pathways. Garner client feedback and pain-points on proprietary TTD offerings and bring to product feedback groups to collaborate with engineers and product managers to develop workaround solutions until a permanent resolve is indicated on the product roadmap. Troubleshoot advanced technical problems including performance issues, measurement discrepancies and constrained targeting. Utilize SQL to query data from databases to expedite the exploration process for performance issues and resolve measurement discrepancies in a more efficient manner. Set-up, test, and troubleshoot pixels including deciphering different JavaScript and HTML5 code. Collaborate with Business Development and Account Management teams to consult on client problems and proposed data-driven solutions. Collaborate closely with account management and sales colleagues to pinpoint client knowledge deficiencies. Create tailored, data-driven insights and materials aimed at improving clients' comprehension and acceptance of proposed solutions.

Salary: $135,782 - $168,300/year

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Political Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in ad tech, digital marketing, or finance. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Business math, including computing, using and explaining cost metrics to mid-level clients; data visualization, including manipulating large data sets into meaningful visuals for less technical stakeholders; and trafficking and optimizing CPA, CPC, and direct marketing campaigns. Must have three (3) years of Excel experience, including pivot tables, vlookup, and sumif statements. Must have three (3) years of presentation experience, including preparing powerpoint decks with insights based on data, and presenting to clients and fielding questions. Domestic travel required up to 10% of the time to client site meetings, including Quarterly Business Reviews.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions.
