The Role

Across Attabotics and in partnership with the People team, the People & Culture Business Partner develops and implements high performing, integrated people practices to support teams and leaders in the areas of talent acquisition, talent management, change management, and engagement. Using their business insights and people experience, the People & Culture Business Partner is committed to fostering leadership success and shaping optimal employee experiences. 

Who you are

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Business Partner.
  • Partner to build and execute people programs that enable and contribute to attaining business goals.
  • Consultative, strategic and a collaborative approach to partnering.
  • Flexible and highly adaptable – experience working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. 
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and resiliency in ambiguous, unstructured and complex scenarios. 
  • Strong relationship builder and excellent communicator. Open, approachable and an excellent listener with a proven ability to build trust across teams and leaders. 
  • Experience supporting both salary and hourly workforces in Canada and US.
  • Strong technical skills – able to adopt new technologies with ease.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Management or a related discipline.

What we need

  • Be a key figure and advocate of the employee experience within the company throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Serve not just as a business partner, but as a coach and consultant to people leaders and team members, acting as an expert on key areas including talent management, onboarding, career development/progression, talent acquisition, conflict and change management. 
  • Conduct regular check-ins with respective leaders and teams to provide guidance and ensure both operational and team needs are being met. 
  • Coaching leaders, continuously supporting their development in managing and leading highly performing, engaged teams. 
  • Consult on people changes advising communication plans and change stages throughout the employee life-cycle. 
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll and other members of the People team to assess the impact of practices and processes, making improvements and recommendations to ensure consistency across these programs. 
  • Partner with people leaders and team members to manage and resolve people issues. 
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment standards and legal requirements while mitigating and assessing potential risk. 
  • Support growth opportunities and facilitate the movement of team members based on operational changes and needs. 
  • Lead and deliver in the development, planning and execution of People & Culture related projects - coaching pods, onboarding, employee info hubs, compensation benchmarking, surveys, etc. 
  • Use team member data to gain insights and make recommendations on employee experience and people programs and practices. 
  • Assess organizational performance, talent alignment and identify talent gaps and opportunities. 
  • Provide reports and other data to departments on an adhoc basis.
