OEM Manager

Fairwinds Technologies is looking for an experienced OEM Manager to manage Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) subcontracts, Requests for Information (RFIs), monitor OEM spending, assist with monitoring of supply changes, and conduct required or ad hoc meetings, as needed, with each OEM.

Location: Hybrid - DE,MD,VA area (in office requirement at least once per week in Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD, and as needed for mandatory Company and Government meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business administration, contract management, or
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required
  • 5+ relevant years of experience required in procurement, contract negotiations, subcontract management
  • 10+ years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Ability to develop or build upon relationships with Prime and OEMs to ensure communication flow and team cohesion
  • Experience identifying risks and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement and flow down requirements as it relates to contracts management
  • Knowledge of contract pricing principles, and the ability to apply sound judgment to contract formation, negotiation, execution, and customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Candidate should be able to compile and analyze data, maintain historical information
  • Demonstrated ability to follow standard practices and procedures and receive and implement general guidance on performed processes and work output
  • Proven resourcefulness in problem-solving and takes initiative to better work product for use across the program
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experience with T&M and FFP contract types

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain RFI quotes and determine fairness of pricing.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly spending analysis for support services received / to be received
  • Leads the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, RFIs and terms and conditions for the procurement of support services
  • Monitor OEM performance and track progress to ensure compliance with all subcontract flow downs, and terms and conditions including schedule and delivery, scope of work, and cost/price elements
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure status of subcontracts are communicated to Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, as well as Executive Leadership, if needed
  • Additional duties may be assigned

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time, exempt position

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be a U.S citizen with an active DoD security clearance of at least the Secret level
