The Manager, Data Operations will lead the operations and strategy of the Small Business Financial Exchange and the Small Business Risk Insight teams in the Data content management area.


This role will drive the growth of both data assets by increasing the database size, supporting revenue initiatives, partnering with the product manager and the data acquisition manager.


This role will Improve operational efficiencies while complaining to agreements and regulations.

Essential Key Responsibilities

  • Daily oversight and administration of team members and production functions of the environment.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and provide direct feedback.
  • Participate in quality initiatives and drive the support of products, services, and revenue.
  • Partner with internal and external organizations on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help set, drive, and provide continuous thought leadership on efforts to drive improvements.
  • Assist in the steps of the agile development process – gathering requirements, planning, designing, coding, testing, QA’ing, deploying, bug fixing, and maintaining.
  • Build relations with the SBFE organization and partner on strategies.
  • Increase participation in SBRI data suppliers to drive growth and retention.
  • Build the team by participating in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in Data Operations.
  • Proficient in technical skills; Microsoft office suite, SQL, JIRA, Business Objects.
  • Experience using Lean and Agile Methodology to either manage a technical project and business processes.
  • Strategic thinker with proven experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders across a global organization. 
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Strong program management skills and a proven ability to manage large scale technical development initiatives.
  • A team player with strong analytic & stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under own initiative, to prioritize own workload and deliver in line with strategic objectives.
  • An appreciation of change management, process improvement and project / program management concepts and methodologies in a cross functional environment.
