We are currently accepting applications for an ACH Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. This position will be a hybrid schedule Monday-Friday 12:30 pm- 9 pm part of the year; 1:30 pm- 10pm part of the year.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Perform functions related to ACH transactions.
  • Lead team members by example and answer questions when help is needed.
  • Be responsible for direct priority escalations and the handling of inquiries and issues escalated to the department.
  • Assist the ACH Manager with policy and procedure changes and enhancements.
  • Ensure proper back-up coverage is in place for all tasks in department to ensure they are completed timely and accurately each day.
  • Assist in day-to-day function of department, workflow management, and process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
  • SLA and metrics tracking.
  • Coordinate implementation of project plans to ensure compliance with overall strategic plans, goals and unit objectives, as well as maintenance of optimal operating efficiency within the department.
  • Be responsible for daily Automated Clearing House origination procedures, including processing files from clients and internal systems, returns, reversals, rejects, death notification entries, and reclamations.
  • Maintain required reports and logs.
  • Recognize and resolve technical problems with equipment and software for department and clients.
  • Perform reconciliation of settlement and work-in-progress accounts.
  • Train new and existing team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience with accounting, balancing, banking, electronic payment processing, ACH systems, or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting, balancing, Clearing House procedures, banking, electronic payment processing, or other directly related.
  • Must have excellent research, customer service, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, recognize and resolve complex problems without assistance.
  • Advanced understanding of the different departments and roles of business partners.
  • Expert working knowledge of ACH systems.
  • Ability to assist with updating Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced PC skills. AAP Certified / PEP+ Expert is a plus.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
