Nango is hiring Senior and Staff Backend Engineers to design, build, and optimize backend systems and APIs, collaborating with customers and driving product strategy.

The role involves full-stack software development, adhering to Agile practices, and collaborating across teams. Responsibilities include coding, testing, and maintaining software systems while mentoring team members.

As a Backend Engineer, you will own end-to-end backend systems, build reliable APIs on Node and AWS, and implement scalable architectures. You will be responsible for high-quality production code delivery, establish best practices, and interface with product teams to enhance financial product performance.

Build end-to-end full-stack product features, integrate smart contract/blockchain calls, design resilient backend systems and indexers, optimize performance, lead QA and mentor junior engineers.

Lead and grow distributed database-internals engineering teams owning TimescaleDB. Set technical roadmaps, prioritize work with Product, collaborate with Platform, handle customer escalations, mentor engineers, and drive delivery of reliable, high-performance database systems.

Embed with strategic customers to scope, build, and deploy complex integrations, backend services, and data pipelines that connect enterprise systems (data lakes, IdP, PLM, ERP) to CoLab. Own delivery from discovery to production, collaborate with product, design, engineering and customer teams, drive adoption, and feed learnings back to the product.

Design, build, and deliver scalable big data ETL solutions across distributed environments using Spark (PySpark/Scala), Hadoop ecosystem, Databricks, and Azure. Develop and automate ETL workflows, tune Spark jobs, integrate multiple data sources, create tests and technical designs, collaborate with Data Science, QA, and Ops, and troubleshoot data delivery issues under agile processes.

Design and implement custom SharePoint solutions, including web parts and integrations, while optimizing platform performance and collaborating with stakeholders.

Design, administer, and optimize databases for cloud-native platforms. Support production incidents, evaluate and improve schemas and replication, drive DB architecture choices across AWS/GCP, implement IaC (Terraform) and GitOps, and build repeatable database designs for availability, reliability, and performance.

Own technical onboarding and post‑onboarding support for market makers and institutional partners across CLOB, WebSocket feeds, RFQ gateway, and SDKs. Debug production integrations, write/maintain integration guides and code samples in Python and TypeScript, monitor integration health, and translate partner feedback into actionable product and engineering items.
