As a Backend Engineer, you will own end-to-end backend systems, build reliable APIs on Node and AWS, and implement scalable architectures. You will be responsible for high-quality production code delivery, establish best practices, and interface with product teams to enhance financial product performance.

The Forward Deployed Engineer role focuses on understanding and improving customer IT processes by extracting knowledge and structuring it for automation, while working directly with customers and internal teams.

Design, build, and deliver scalable big data ETL solutions across distributed environments using Spark (PySpark/Scala), Hadoop ecosystem, Databricks, and Azure. Develop and automate ETL workflows, tune Spark jobs, integrate multiple data sources, create tests and technical designs, collaborate with Data Science, QA, and Ops, and troubleshoot data delivery issues under agile processes.

Lead technical design and execution for product catalog systems, owning onboarding, attribute management, enrichment, validation, and readiness tooling. Build scalable services and data models, drive cross-functional discovery, lead initiatives end-to-end, improve data quality, mentor engineers, and ensure reliability, performance, and observability of catalog workflows.

Design, build, and optimize high-performance backend APIs and real-time data processing systems. Scale distributed systems, debug and tune production services, participate in on-call rotation, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally from feature concept through deployment.

Own technical onboarding and post‑onboarding support for market makers and institutional partners across CLOB, WebSocket feeds, RFQ gateway, and SDKs. Debug production integrations, write/maintain integration guides and code samples in Python and TypeScript, monitor integration health, and translate partner feedback into actionable product and engineering items.

Lead backend Java development and architecture for enterprise applications. Design and deliver scalable, resilient microservices and APIs, mentor developers, lead technical decisions, support production incidents, and implement CI/CD and cloud-native solutions on AWS.

Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, Snowflake schemas, and ETL/ELT processes; develop and expose data via RESTful APIs; deliver Node.js backend services on AWS; build Vue/Vuetify front-ends; ensure data quality, reliability, and integration with financial systems.

Build pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces from Figma using handcrafted CSS/SCSS and modern layout primitives. Implement interactive UI in Vanilla JavaScript and React/Next, integrate front-end with CMSs (Contentful, Drupal, WordPress), use modern build tooling, participate in code reviews, and leverage AI tools to speed debugging and scaffolding.

Lead and grow a full‑stack team building the Console, Tiger CLI, and MCP integrations. Own customer-facing domains (UI, billing, observability), set technical direction for a JavaScript/Go stack, hire and mentor engineers, establish engineering practices, and partner with Product and Design to deliver polished features.
