Own Wise’s regulatory presence and market expansion in South Africa, including licensing, regulator relationships, banking and payment partnerships, commercial negotiations, and operational processes. Shape local product opportunities with Product, Finance, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams. Improve banking relationships, payment economics, reliability, transaction visibility, and access to local payment rails across South Africa and potentially Southern Africa.

Leads implementation and process improvement for Wise Platform verification. Maps complex workflows, identifies automation and efficiency opportunities, defines KPIs and dashboards, develops rollout plans, and coordinates cross-functional delivery across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and partner teams. The role drives root-cause analysis, operational controls, migration of manual processes, launch readiness, monitoring, documentation, and measurable improvements across global partner-verification operations.

Own the strategy and technical maturity of Wise’s Customer Support tooling infrastructure. Lead bug triage, root-cause analysis, Zendesk workflow enhancements, routing-engine configurations, queue architecture, and cross-functional tooling initiatives. Partner with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Operations to eliminate manual workarounds, improve agent uptime, establish governance, and measure infrastructure impact using analytical platforms.

Lead Wise's expansion and banking operations in Japan: own licensing end-to-end, secure banking and payment scheme partnerships, advise product launches on regulatory and banking requirements, manage regulator and partner relationships, and execute growth strategy to launch and scale Wise products in Japan and APAC.
