Manage a caseload of routine to moderately complex workers' compensation claims: investigate coverage and liability, set and adjust reserves, negotiate settlements within authority, refer to subrogation or SIU as needed, and collaborate with claimants, policyholders, attorneys, and partners. Training (including one week travel to Plano, TX) and reliable attendance are required.

Evaluate coverage, liability, damages; prepare trial reports; coordinate with counsel; ensure reserves and secure financial processing; identify SIU and subrogation opportunities; communicate with claimants and policyholders; oversee outside counsel billing and maintain claim file documentation.

Handle workers' compensation and other property/casualty claims by investigating first reports of loss, evaluating compensability and liability, estimating loss costs, negotiating settlements within limits, maintaining claim files, and communicating recommendations to policyholders. Participate in training and mentoring while managing a caseload and using loss management techniques and protocols.

Investigate coverage, liability, and damages; prepare for trials/hearings; manage outside counsel and billing; refer suspected fraud to SIU; ensure accurate reserves and file documentation; communicate with policyholders and stakeholders.

Investigate, evaluate, and settle bodily injury claims; contact injured parties, policyholders, and witnesses; document files, ensure reserves and secure financial processing; identify suspicious claims and subrogation opportunities; use loss management tools and coordinate with SIU and auxiliary resources.

Manages attorney-represented and litigated auto and homeowners bodily injury claims. Investigates coverage, liability, damages, and suspicious claims; evaluates reserves; negotiates settlements; coordinates subrogation and counsel; prepares trial reports; attends hearings and trials; communicates with policyholders, claimants, and witnesses; maintains claim files; and oversees outside and in-house counsel billing.

Manage complex commercial energy claims from initial notice through resolution, including coverage analysis, liability assessment, reserving, litigation management, negotiations, and settlements. Coordinate defense counsel, legal teams, technical experts, underwriting, and reinsurance partners. Advise leadership on coverage and energy-specific issues, mentor claims examiners, manage high-exposure portfolios, and support claims process improvement initiatives.

Processes routine workers’ compensation claims by investigating facts, verifying medical treatment and coverage, managing ongoing medical cases, documenting claim activity, authorizing payments, identifying referral issues, arranging medical reviews, and preparing potential subrogation cases. Provides injured workers, employers, and medical providers with timely information and quality service while maintaining accurate claim records and correspondence.

Leads the Casualty Specialized Claims team, setting strategic and technical direction for severe-exposure portfolios. Manages and develops claims leaders, oversees complex litigation and coverage strategies, monitors portfolio analytics and emerging risks, ensures reserve and settlement accuracy, and manages counsel, vendors, litigation spend, and stakeholder communications. Develops claims protocols and best practices for environmental, mass tort, toxic tort, latent injury, and other specialty claims.
