The role also evaluates technical performance, schedules, costs, risks, contractor data, requirements, interfaces, and verification activities for satellite programs.

Partners with engineering, product, architecture, customers, and senior leadership while mentoring technical leaders and scaling AI-enabled systems engineering practices.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, Python, and FastAPI. Build secure APIs and operate AWS applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code. Collaborate with product, systems, and architecture teams to deliver features end to end. Apply AI-assisted development throughout coding, testing, debugging, code review, and documentation while validating quality, security, and maintainability.

Develop and modernize secure, scalable front-end web applications for a government big-data analytics platform. Build responsive interfaces, dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualization features; integrate APIs and data services; and support geospatial data capabilities. Collaborate with product, UX, backend, data, and cybersecurity teams in an Agile environment. Participate in architecture, code reviews, mentoring, DevSecOps, troubleshooting, performance improvement, and compliance activities. Work onsite three days weekly and in a SCIF as required.

Designs, deploys, and manages Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms across cloud and on-premises environments. Builds CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code solutions, automation, and self-service tooling for containerized applications. Monitors performance, availability, and security; responds to incidents; improves platform reliability and usability; and ensures security and governance compliance. Collaborates with distributed Agile teams and provides onsite SCIF and on-call support for mission-critical customers.

Own systems engineering and product ownership for flight operations software supporting spacecraft commanding, telemetry, ground systems, and mission operations. Define architectures, MBSE models, APIs, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; prioritize the development backlog; drive technical trades; and support implementation, integration, verification, deployment, and operations. Coordinate spacecraft, ground, flight software, mission operations, and engineering stakeholders while identifying integration risks and contributing to enterprise architecture and long-term mission systems roadmaps.

Develop and enhance full-stack geospatial and Motion GEOINT applications across front-end, back-end, and data layers. Build interactive visualization and 3D capabilities, contribute to architecture and microservices, optimize distributed-system performance, and support CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management. Collaborate in Agile teams, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and deliver mission-critical features in technically challenging environments.

Develop and maintain operational and automated test code for the Mission Control System, troubleshoot operational issues, fix software defects, and collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Develop and run high-fidelity simulations of satellites, aircraft, sensors, and ISR systems. Analyze mission architectures, technologies, operating concepts, and large simulation datasets to identify performance drivers and risks. Build automation, engineering tools, visualizations, and simulation capabilities; validate analytical methods; and communicate findings and recommendations to engineers, customers, program leaders, and senior decision-makers.
