Design and implement backend pay-in systems: architect API and SFTP integrations, route payment methods, optimize relational schemas and queries, write testable code (TDD), and collaborate with product, operations, and banking to improve payment completion and money volume metrics.

Lead and hire an engineering team to build Wise's first international credit offering. Own technical and product roadmaps, design scalable distributed cloud systems for credit decisioning, tracking balances, interest accrual, and repayment flows. Mentor engineers, ensure code quality and delivery, coordinate with product and cross-functional squads, and drive a reliable, compliant global payments product to production.

Lead a team of backend and web engineers to evolve Wise's Account Details platform, build the receive-to-alias experience, shape the roadmap with Product, ensure high-quality distributed systems and web applications, mentor engineers, coordinate cross-team delivery, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation every ~6–10 weeks.

Own and operate enterprise collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft 365, etc.), build API-first integrations and automations, lead incident response and post-mortems, mentor engineers, and enforce security, monitoring, and IaC best practices to ensure scalable, reliable digital workspace services.

Join the Scam Prevention team to design, build, and operate scalable backend (80%) and frontend (20%) systems that detect and prevent financial scams. Own end-to-end projects, improve controls, optimize data pipelines and schemas, work with CI/CD, and collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Investigations to deliver measurable customer protection and automation.
