Develop and maintain software projects, define specifications, interface with customers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure software quality through testing.

Lead and build a Customer Engineering organization to support fab startup, equipment installation, qualification, and high-volume manufacturing. Drive hiring, training, operational readiness, performance metrics, continuous improvement, parts/resource management, and strong customer partnerships to ensure uptime and successful ramp of semiconductor production.

Install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment using diagnostic tools. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems. Lead customer communication, document procedures, train/mentor junior engineers, and support projects to ensure smooth operations and safety compliance.

Develop and maintain fabrication methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts and assemblies. Coordinate product releases, apply DFx and lean principles to reduce cost and improve quality, set time standards, recommend tooling, develop and evaluate test procedures, perform root cause analysis and PFMEA, and produce corrective action reports.

Provide customer-facing software support for Applied Materials equipment: troubleshoot software/system issues, manage tickets, create and verify software change notifications and procedures, contribute to software design/testing/documentation, and mentor junior engineers. Communicate status to stakeholders and develop customer-focused feature documentation.

Support setup and ramp of BEOL semiconductor manufacturing line: transfer R&D processes to pilot production, design and run experiments, train engineers, coordinate cross-functional teams, track schedules and risks, implement instrumentation and produce technical documentation to enable HVM qualification.

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade semiconductor/display equipment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems. Use digital analytics and basic diagnostics, coordinate with customers, and follow safety and cleanroom protocols. Work alongside senior engineers and perform additional assigned duties.

Lead automation strategy and execution for SW QA: define KPIs, design and code E2E tests, build automation coverage, mentor team, collaborate with QA/scrum/infra teams, and drive tooling and process improvements.

Design, prototype, and develop moderately complex C++ software solutions for semiconductor equipment; create reusable modules and libraries; produce documentation and test procedures; troubleshoot and fix software bugs; collaborate with internal and external customers on requirements, schedules, and troubleshooting.

The software engineer will design, develop, and enhance products, provide software solutions, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with global teams and customers. They will also document their work and ensure adherence to quality standards.
