Own technical direction, design decisions, production coding, operational health, incident response, and complex project delivery. Mentor engineers, conduct reviews, communicate technical tradeoffs, and collaborate with product and partner teams. The role uses Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale data systems handling millions of messages per second and petabytes of data.

Build and operate high-scale JVM-based backend microservices using Java and Kotlin. Own services across architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, on-call support, and continuous improvement. Develop event-driven Kafka systems, apply concurrency and performance optimization, design resilient APIs, and operate containerized services with Kubernetes and CI/CD. Improve observability, reliability, automation, and developer productivity while collaborating cross-functionally, mentoring peers, and contributing to technical standards.

Build and operate scalable Java backend services, Kafka streaming pipelines, microservices, and APIs for user personalization and behavioral modeling. Work across AWS infrastructure, distributed systems, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. Leads Database Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure teams responsible for multi-cloud database architecture, scalability, resiliency, automation, FinOps, and operational excellence across AWS and Azure. Oversees relational databases, Redis and Valkey infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, database migration pipelines, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and zero-downtime operations. Lead and grow a team building Kubernetes observability integrations: oversee Go/Python data collectors, scalable backend services, UI dashboards, and K8s SRE agents; drive technical strategy (OpenTelemetry), ensure end-to-end delivery from agents and Helm charts to frontend, manage incident response and support rotations, and advocate open-source contributions.

Build, maintain, scale, and support globally distributed streaming services handling high-throughput platform data. Develop automation and tooling for reliability, scalability, and operational stability; participate in architecture, Agile team processes, shared code ownership, and on-call rotations.
