Design and develop electro-mechanical or hydro-mechanical landing gear for autonomous UAVs. Own full design cycle from concept and CAD to analysis, tolerance stack-ups, materials selection, prototyping, FEA, testing, and production release. Collaborate with avionics, hydraulics, structures and electrical teams; support integration, ground and flight testing.

Design, install, and integrate aircraft mechanical systems and components. Create 3D CAD models, installation layouts, and detailed drawings. Manage PLM/BOM data, apply GD&T and tolerance stack-ups, support prototypes and production, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure manufacturable, maintainable aircraft hardware.

Develop and verify system-level safety requirements for the X-BAT platform. Perform hazard analyses (STPA, FMEA, FTA, PHA), maintain hazard tracking, support safety case and airworthiness documentation, coordinate cybersecurity safety requirements, investigate mishaps, participate in design reviews, and engage with customers and DoD safety representatives to assure traceability and mitigation closure.

Lead investigations into fielded V-BAT failures and repeat defects, perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions, analyze logs/returned hardware/test data, collaborate cross-functionally to implement reliability and maintainability improvements, and translate findings into design/process changes to improve fleet readiness.

Design and develop mechanical and actuated systems for autonomous UAVs including concept, CAD, analysis, prototyping, testing, and production support. Perform kinematic and structural calculations, FEA, tolerance stack-ups, materials selection, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to meet performance, schedule, and reliability goals.

Lead design, analysis, and integration of avionics thermal management for unmanned aircraft. Develop and validate analytical, numerical, and CFD models, run trade studies, plan and execute thermal tests, guide cross-disciplinary teams, and influence electrical/PCBA thermal design decisions.

Lead and scale an aircraft sustainment and product health organization. Build teams, processes, metrics, and governance to convert fleet and maintenance data into reliability, readiness, and lifecycle improvements. Drive cross-functional issue resolution, failure tracking, corrective actions, configuration control, obsolescence planning, MRB/repair governance, and executive dashboards. Hire and mentor sustainment leaders and foster a data-driven, accountable culture.

Lead materials and failure analysis for the XBAT vehicle: run lab characterization (SEM/EDS, X-ray/CT, thermal analysis), drive failure investigations, define corrective actions, establish lab SOPs, and advise design/manufacturing/supply chain on material selection and processing.

Manage a team of engineers developing autonomy applications, focusing on customer use cases, operational readiness, and training material creation.
