Lead the modernization of Chewy’s fulfillment technology and warehouse management systems. Define architecture, write production code, build resilient cloud and edge systems, develop mobile warehouse applications, establish workflow and integration patterns, and integrate analytics, AI, robotics, and decisioning systems. Provide technical direction across teams, lead design and code reviews, improve engineering practices, and mentor engineers while ensuring high availability, observability, auditability, and operational continuity.

Perform equipment build reviews, technical risk assessments, safety design reviews using ISO 12100/ANSI B11 and hierarchy-of-controls, maintain hazard logs, define FAT/SAT acceptance criteria, coordinate certification with vendors/NRTLs, and support incident investigations, policies, standards, and training.

The Senior Controls Systems Engineer provides technical support for control systems in automated fulfillment operations, manages change requests, drives performance improvements, and develops training. They also troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate with teams to optimize system performance.

Design, develop, and deploy high-performance distributed optimization, data, and simulation systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve data quality and production issues, write maintainable code with TDD, unit tests, and CI/CD, and advocate engineering best practices.
