Lead and grow the Data Safety engineering team to enable safe use of highly sensitive mental-health data. Own de-identification, access controls, entitlements, LLM data handling, and compliance audit evidence. Drive platform strategy toward self-serve infrastructure, reduce blast radius, ensure reliability and performance of the FastAPI/Python monolith on AWS, and partner with Security and product teams to define production readiness for AI workloads.

Own and architect Headway's cloud platform: deployments, autoscaling, capacity, container footprint (ECS/EKS), networking, Terraform self-serve, cost attribution, and Python monolith runtime health to make infrastructure safe, scalable, and self-serve for engineers.

Own architecture and technical direction for Headway's Journey communications platform: design the decision engine, experimentation layer, channel orchestration, unified message ledger, and productionize LLM-powered personalization across multi-vendor delivery systems to improve patient and provider engagement.

Own and build Headways experimentation platform: assignment, exposure, identity resolution, feature flags, and data pipelines. Drive technical direction, reliability, and company-wide experimentation practices, integrate AI for diagnostics, and enable market-level tests across teams.

Lead and grow the Web Platform engineering team through people development, strategic planning, and cross-functional partnership. Define and advocate platform roadmap, drive platform investments that enable product goals, align multiple product teams, and ensure visibility through documentation, metrics, and stakeholder engagement.

Lead design and implementation of Headway's insurance systems (eligibility, pricing, matching, claims). Build data-intensive, ML-powered platforms and automation, mentor engineers, write high-impact code, and improve accuracy and reliability across state and payer complexity to scale insurance-covered therapy.

Lead a backend engineering team owning Headway's billing and claims systems: design architecture, ensure financial correctness and observability, run incidents/on-call, hire and grow engineers, partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, Operations, Finance, and drive a roadmap for reliable money movement.
