Build and operate Cloudflare’s edge CDN proxy services, caching systems, customer speed products, and origin connectivity. Lead and grow the engineering team building Cloudflare’s agentic commerce and machine-to-machine payment infrastructure. Lead complex systems initiatives for Cloudflare Browser Isolation across Chromium, distributed services, and remote browsing infrastructure. Design and implement C++, Rust, Go, and TypeScript systems; investigate cross-layer performance and reliability issues; improve observability, capacity, rollout safety, and resilience. The role includes architectural decision-making, technical leadership, mentoring, cross-team coordination, incident response, and production on-call participation.

Maintain and expand Cloudflare’s large-scale DNS infrastructure by designing, implementing, testing, and operating reliable systems. Own medium-to-large projects from design through rollout, monitoring, on-call, and follow-up. Debug complex service issues, improve resilience and architecture, collaborate with Product, contribute to requirements, and mentor junior engineers. The role emphasizes systems programming, performance, concurrency, networking, distributed systems, and high-quality production code in Rust or Go.

Develop and maintain Chromium-based browser and distributed systems components using C++, Rust, Go, and TypeScript. Own features through design, testing, rollout, and production support; debug browser, Linux, and service failures; improve reliability, latency, startup performance, and resource efficiency. Participate in code reviews, documentation, automated testing, collaboration, and on-call incident response.

Lead Cloudflare’s LATAM network strategy by building executive relationships with ISPs, telecom operators, datacenters, and carriers. Drive peering and transit capacity expansion, infrastructure positioning, redundancy, routing optimization, and network reliability. Serve as a regional technical subject matter expert while aligning engineering, commercial, channel, and operations teams on strategic infrastructure initiatives. Professional English and Spanish fluency is required, with Portuguese preferred.

Design, build, and operate the Linux-based edge appliance runtime and distributed control plane. Implement secure networking dataplanes (IPsec, MASQUE, eBPF), reliable fleet control and remote lifecycle management, telemetry and diagnostics, and drive product-focused technical leadership from architecture through rollout and incident response.

Designs and manages scalable systems and developer productivity tooling for Cloudflare’s engineering platform. Responsibilities include improving development practices, securing platforms, optimizing CPU, bandwidth, and storage resources, advising application teams on architecture, driving productivity initiatives, and responding to platform incidents. The role requires large-scale distributed systems or Linux production experience, systems programming, container orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Develop and maintain distributed systems, resource-usage instrumentation, data pipelines, and measurement libraries for Cloudflare’s global edge platform. Collaborate across engineering teams and with product managers to support synthetic and load-testing products. The role requires performance-sensitive infrastructure experience, networking knowledge, large-scale data processing expertise, and proficiency in Go, Rust, or C. Bonus work includes Linux kernel internals, distributed-system troubleshooting, and configuration or deployment management.
