The Staff Engineer for SSD Validation leads validation and qualification activities for Enterprise and Datacenter NVMe SSDs, oversees testing strategies, and collaborates with various engineering teams to ensure product readiness and quality.

This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing high-speed IO circuits for Micron's DRAM products, ensuring performance evaluation and correlation with silicon results.

Lead global contamination control strategy for wafer fabs: drive cross-functional resolution of yield and cleanroom issues, define CC metrics and standards, enable capacity expansion, standardize wafer shipment controls, and manage CC projects and supplier governance. Requires engaging global teams, data-driven monitoring, and project delivery to improve yield, reliability, and fab utilization.

Lead and execute advanced analog, mixed-signal, and custom digital layout for blocks and full chips. Perform physical verification (LVS/DRC and related checks), develop digital layouts with auto place-and-route tools, apply SKILL coding and automation, mentor junior engineers, manage scheduling and delivery across projects, coordinate with global teams, and use AI to reduce layout effort and improve quality.

Designs and improves semiconductor front-end process conditions and technologies, sets process parameters, upgrades process capability to reduce cost, evaluates and plans new equipment/materials, conducts abnormality analysis and implements improvements, and integrates AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency and continuous improvement.

Perform system-level DRAM validation, characterization, failure analysis and experimentation. Run diagnostic software, design experiments, analyze data, build custom tools, present results to internal and external customers, and apply AI-enabled tools to improve validation and productivity. Occasional customer-site work.

The EHS Safety Engineer oversees safety management at production facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and preventing accidents through effective safety measures.

Design, develop, and maintain manufacturing scheduling and automation systems. Analyze production data, build ETL pipelines, dashboards, and reports, apply simulation and statistical methods to optimize throughput and cycle time, investigate root causes, support 24/7 systems on-call, and lead cross-functional projects to improve fab performance.
