The FPGA Design Engineer will develop cutting-edge electronic systems, focusing on FPGA development, design, test fixture implementation, and collaboration in R&D programs.

Manage and maintain Linux-based multi-user systems, virtual machines, and HPC clusters. Install and tune software, manage accounts and storage, enforce IA/DoD STIG hardening, support schedulers (SLURM/PBS/Torque), automate via scripting, monitor systems, and produce documentation and recommendations to optimize resource usage.

Lead systems engineering for Electronic Warfare (EW) solutions: define architecture, ensure design viability, manage technical risks, interface with customers and leadership, and verify systems meet mission, maintainability, supportability, cost and schedule requirements. Role is onsite and involves technical presentations and requirements interpretation.

Design and develop system- and board-level digital and analog electronics for tactical RF, Lidar, and antenna products. Perform modeling, simulation, power and reliability analyses, prototype testing, and support environmental/qualification testing. Interface with systems, layout, and test teams, and contribute to R&D and program development for defense systems.

Lead and manage the SecureIT Networking team to deploy and maintain networking equipment in closed areas, ensure secure network architectures, coordinate cross-team implementation schedules, mentor staff, act as 2nd/3rd-level escalation for operational systems, and provide regular status updates while enforcing compliance and documentation standards.

Design and implement FPGA-based digital systems for defense applications, integrate digital IP and SoC components, develop test fixtures and plans, and collaborate across engineering teams on R&D and production programs. Maintain on-site presence and support system-level requirements flow-down.

Lead architecture and implementation of complex FPGA SoC designs for space/high-reliability systems. Develop VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog IP, integrate digital IP, use Xilinx/Mentor toolchains, provide technical leadership, and support R&D and production programs while collaborating across teams.

Lead a team in the development of electronics, manage cross-functional teams, oversee project schedules, and ensure quality standards for various customers.

Lead electrical hardware design, integration, test, and verification for high-reliability space electronics. Manage requirements flow-down to PWAs, FPGAs, and software; develop test plans and STE; perform anomaly root-cause analysis; select EEE parts; mentor junior engineers; support program schedules and risk mitigation.

Design, develop, integrate, and certify a company-wide digital test procedure application. Participate in requirements, architecture, implementation, CI/CD, and Agile development. Collaborate cross-functionally, communicate status to management, train staff, improve processes, and support system-level testing and certification. On-site presence required three+ days per week.
