Lead and execute R&D laboratory testing and simulation for fire and explosion safety problems. Design test programs, perform numerical analyses, report results, collaborate with stakeholders, publish and present findings, and apply R&D outcomes to standards and product development.

Manage UL testing projects for fire alarm control panels: define scope, set test programs, examine samples for compliance, coordinate lab technicians, communicate results to clients, prepare reports and follow-up procedures, develop special test methods/equipment, and resolve engineering issues. Role may include client-site test witnessing and representing UL at industry events.

Serve as a global SME for Industrial Metaverse technologies (PLCs, IoT, cloud/edge, digital twins, AI, EMC/RED, cybersecurity). Lead standards work, develop test programs, perform and supervise complex testing, train staff, represent UL externally, and support clients and continuous improvement across regional or global labs.

Perform safety and non-safety certification inspections and quality system audits. Analyze and interpret test results versus UL requirements, verify and calibrate measuring equipment, review production records, recommend corrective actions, document findings, and communicate with manufacturers and authorities. Use hand and electrical instruments, support continuous improvement, promote UL services, and travel locally within the Tampa area for client site visits.

Lead and manage an engineering team focused on life safety and security testing. Drive capacity planning, process improvements, customer engagement, compliance with standards, and staff development while supporting project execution and business growth.

Set up and perform electrical and mechanical testing of industrial control products (PLCs, motor drives, contactors, safety devices). Build test setups, collect and record data, maintain lab equipment, analyze results with engineers, communicate with clients, and integrate automation and continuous improvement into testing processes.

Use CFD tools (FLACS, FDS, others) to model battery fires, gas dispersion, deflagration, and thermal impacts. Perform pre/post-processing, V&V against large-scale tests, support performance-based design and code compliance, produce technical reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while developing domain expertise.

Lead development and review of functional safety deliverables for vehicle and automation systems. Create safety cases, perform hazard and risk analyses, decompose safety requirements, conduct detailed safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, STPA), verify compliance, run technical workshops and client engagements, and support proposals and business development.

Evaluate electrical and electronic control systems for consumer, commercial, and industrial products. Perform lab testing, analyze hardware and software, apply safety standards (UL/IEC/CSA 60730-1), review schematics, support project planning, report compliance findings, and communicate results to customers while building functional safety expertise.

Perform electrical product testing, inspection, and certification work; develop test programs; coordinate lab technicians; communicate with clients on technical issues and project status; prepare reports and follow-up procedures; support development of test methods and UL requirements. Frequent domestic and international travel required.
