Design and implement permanent way solutions for light and heavy rail projects, including track alignment, assessment and inspection. Produce detailed permanent way designs (vignole/trough rail, ballasted and street track), earthworks and drainage, apply Irish/UK standards, manage projects and deliver quality outputs while working toward chartered status.

Lead full-cycle civil/water resources design projects from concept through construction bid, prepare PS&E, specifications and cost estimates, mentor junior engineers, manage schedules and budgets, produce proposals, perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, and create construction documents using AutoCAD/Civil 3D (MicroStation a plus). Communicate technical findings clearly to clients and the public.

Design, implement, and own user-facing features across the full stack. Collaborate with product and design, write well-tested code, build scalable single-page applications, and improve engineering culture and processes.

Lead cross-functional teams to define and evolve platform and application architecture, introduce new technologies and best practices, solve cross-team technical challenges, guide global cloud and regulated (FedRAMP) deployments, and mentor engineers while driving engineering quality, observability, and production readiness.

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test suites for web and mobile applications. Collaborate with development and product teams to prioritize automation work, create test cases and manage test data, integrate tests in CI/CD pipelines, and lead automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and reliability.

Lead definition, design, simulation, layout, and testing of photonic integrated circuits on a heterogeneous silicon–III/V platform. Map customer requirements to the platform, coordinate packaging and fabrication, define test plans, analyze data, and prioritize PDK components to deliver market-ready PIC products.

Develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases and ETL processes; build OLAP schemas, SSRS reports and BI visualizations (Tableau/Power BI); administer DB security, backups, performance tuning, and deployments; support application back-end troubleshooting, gather business requirements, and participate in SDLC and disaster recovery planning.

Design and optimize mechanical architectures for motors and actuators, perform structural and tolerance analyses, drive DFM/A for high-volume production, create CAD models and GD&T drawings, collaborate across teams, support prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure manufacturability and durability at scale.

Maintain and evolve the Termius Desktop app using React and TypeScript. Investigate sync, data integrity, local state, connectivity, and performance issues. Improve desktop foundation including updates, native dependencies, and cross-platform behavior. Work across process, storage, network, and OS boundaries and deliver production-ready features.
