Assesses cyber domains, architectures, missions, and threats; advises on defensive cyber operations; researches technology options; documents procedures and architectures; and develops tools using SIEM, network security, threat detection, analytics, and forensic technologies.

Owns and improves identity and access management and endpoint platforms across SailPoint, Okta, Entra ID, CyberArk, Intune, and Jamf. Designs JML and RBAC workflows, administers SSO and MFA, enforces Zero Trust controls, automates operations with PowerShell and Python, resolves complex incidents, and supports compliance audits. The engineer also contributes to Microsoft platform initiatives, AI identity governance, mergers and acquisitions, executive support, and broader digital workplace transformation programs.

Leads technology and cyber internal audits across planning, walkthroughs, testing, evidence validation, reporting, remediation, and follow-up. Evaluates cybersecurity, IAM, system operations, data management, ITGC, SOX, and business process controls. Uses AI, automation, and data analytics to identify anomalies and improve audit efficiency. Partners with Cybersecurity, Technology, business stakeholders, senior management, and the Audit Committee while supporting risk assessment, audit planning, and continuous methodology improvement.

Secure and operate AI platforms, gateways, agents, and tool integrations across their lifecycle. Build security automation, privileged access controls, network and endpoint protections, logging and telemetry pipelines, SIEM integrations, dashboards, alerts, and monitoring. Review integrations for security risks, enforce authentication, authorization, guardrails, and usage governance, and support firewall, SASE/ZTNA, WAF, identity, and infrastructure security engineering.

Administer, secure, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux systems in mission-critical environments. Manage servers, services, access controls, patches, networking, firewalls, and vulnerability remediation. Diagnose issues across system, application, and network layers; develop automation with shell scripting or Python; support backup, recovery, integration, documentation, testing, deployment, and specialized defense systems.

Participates in technical aerospace and defense projects under mentorship, completing hands-on assignments, preparing documentation, analyzing technical data, attending planning meetings, supporting process improvements, and collaborating with engineering teams. The intern gains practical experience through workshops and direct involvement in company initiatives.

Design, develop, and integrate secure embedded software for satellite avionics and payload processing systems. Build C/C++ software for ARM and RISC-V processors, configure embedded Linux and RTOS platforms, implement secure networking and cryptographic protocols, and integrate hardware interfaces. Lead software testing, system validation, configuration management, and hardware debugging while applying security standards. Provide technical mentorship, translate customer requirements into software designs, and guide architecture, code quality, and continuous improvement.

Maintains cybersecurity operations and authorization posture for the DCAPES Air Force command-and-control system. Responsibilities include continuous monitoring, security control assessment, configuration-change reviews, incident reporting, cybersecurity documentation, authorization support, corrective-action tracking, and oversight of ISSO and privileged-user training and certifications.

Supports classified Department of Defense information systems by implementing cybersecurity requirements, managing RMF authorization, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, monitoring security controls and SIEM alerts, maintaining system documentation, and coordinating with government authorizing officials. The role provides cybersecurity team leadership, configuration management, incident investigation support, and oversight of secure technical solutions across SAP and SCI environments.

Develop and validate security strategies for GPS systems, including test vectors, plans, procedures, cryptographic controls, information assurance, and security protocol compliance. Conduct white-box and black-box testing, audits, technical assessments, and security impact assessments. Coordinate with vendors, integrators, government stakeholders, and program offices on security requirements, certification, acquisition milestones, and technical standards. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance and on-site work in El Segundo three to five days weekly.

Supports the Joint Navigation Warfare Center’s NAVWAR mission by integrating C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into strategic and operational objectives. Reviews policies and authorities, facilitates internal and external information sharing, and coordinates with DISA, CYBERCOM, JFHQ-C, ARCYBER, JFHQ-DoDIN, and related organizations. Requires a cybersecurity-related bachelor’s degree, current DoD TS/SCI clearance, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.

Conduct OT asset inventories, risk assessments, and IEC 62443/NIST CSF gap analyses. Design zero-trust architectures, zones, conduits, DMZs, and IT/OT firewall rules. Implement secure vendor and engineer remote access, deploy OT monitoring tools, develop incident response playbooks, and train plant staff while protecting live industrial systems.
