Leads customer-facing technical discovery, architecture, demonstrations, evaluations, proofs of value, and technical close for Cloudflare One solutions. Advises enterprise customers on Zero Trust, SASE, secure connectivity, WAN transformation, AI security, and related technologies. Partners with sales, product, engineering, support, and customers to drive successful evaluations, communicate business value, create reusable technical assets, and provide feedback for product improvement.

Design, build, and operate Cloudflare application security systems, including rate limiting and web application firewall services. Lead complex technical projects, define scalable architectures, improve reliability, review code and designs, collaborate across engineering teams, and mentor other engineers. The role involves distributed systems, production monitoring, debugging, operational improvements, and occasional on-call support.

Identify, track, and mitigate sophisticated cyber threats and abuse across Cloudflare’s global platform. Analyze attacker tactics, techniques, procedures, network and metadata signals, and indicators of compromise. Build security detections, configure analytical rules, investigate threats in real time, and develop actionable threat intelligence. Communicate technical findings clearly to technical and executive stakeholders while collaborating on innovative approaches to threat detection and remediation.

Design, implement, and maintain distributed software systems supporting Cloudflare’s application security products, including Rate Limiting and Web Application Firewall. Participate across the software development lifecycle, write automated tests, monitor production deployments, debug complex systems, review code, collaborate with security and infrastructure teams, and mentor colleagues. The role involves Rust and Go development, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant systems at scale, with possible on-call responsibilities.

Provide premium technical support to sophisticated customers experiencing network and application attacks. Analyze traffic signatures, packet captures, protocols, and malicious activity across OSI Layers 3, 4, and 7. The role supports sophisticated customers through chat, email, and phone; manages monitoring rules and incident tickets; produces attack reports; and collaborates with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to improve security tools. Weekend, holiday, and rotating 24/7 coverage is required.
