Leads systems security engineering across the full SDLC for mission-critical DoD programs. Defines security requirements, develops architectures, performs threat modeling and adversarial analysis, integrates security into DevSecOps pipelines, and leads RMF Assessment and Authorization activities. Authors security documentation, evaluates STIGs and security benchmarks, manages residual risks, mentors engineering teams, engages government stakeholders, and supports proposal development and technical reviews.

Administer Palo Alto firewalls through Panorama, manage web-filtering policies, analyze logs and network traffic, troubleshoot incidents, and support a 24/7 GSOC. Develop security applications, automation scripts, technical documentation, and new security technology solutions. Configure firewall rules, routing, VLANs, and subnets while assessing security requirements, risks, architecture, scalability, and virtualization needs. Provides day-to-day cybersecurity operations for Compass Call mission and support systems. Manages system security, access authorization, audit monitoring, security artifacts, RMF compliance, incident response, vulnerability management, malware detection, inspections, and training. Coordinates with cybersecurity leadership, government representatives, customers, and security personnel. The role is fully onsite at Davis Monthan AFB, requires rotational shifts, deployments to CONUS and OCONUS locations, and physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Administer classified and unclassified AWS GovCloud environments supporting SaaS development, including AWS accounts, IAM, networking, storage, compute, and compliance. Coordinate with cybersecurity teams on threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability assessment, and security changes across Windows, Cisco, Palo Alto, SIEM, and endpoint environments. Manage software vendors, licenses, renewals, deployments, and costs while translating security requirements between technical teams. Rotating shifts may be required during cybersecurity onboarding.

Supports cyber targeting and intelligence operations by analyzing digital networks, raw datasets, network traffic, and investigative findings. Oversees targeting efforts, identifies anomalies and hidden patterns, performs predictive and prescriptive analytics, and develops operational solutions. Collaborates with customer and intelligence community personnel while using cybersecurity tools, operating systems, databases, and scripting technologies. Requires an active clearance with polygraph and at least three years of relevant cyber experience.

Manage and operate classified and unclassified AWS (GovCloud) environments supporting SaaS development. Coordinate with cybersecurity team on monitoring, incident response, vulnerability scanning, STIG/DoD compliance, and network/device security. Track vendor licenses and software deployments, maintain hands-on fluency in Windows AD, SIEM, Cisco/Palo Alto platforms, and support classified network operations.

Provides pre- and post-sales technical support for cross-domain security products. Responsibilities include requirements capture, architecture recommendations, CDS implementation, customer training, technical documentation, remote and on-site assistance, and collaboration with sales, testing, and development teams. The role interprets NCDSMO Raise-the-Bar requirements, supports government and contractor customers, and applies critical thinking to identify technical security needs. Hybrid work and domestic and international travel are required.

Lead ISSE activities to implement DoD/AF RMF, develop and review cybersecurity artifacts, assess controls and gaps, support incident response and threat modeling, use automated tools for compliance, and collaborate with program teams to implement security controls.

Administer and secure Oracle and other relational and NoSQL databases in a DoD environment. Implement DISA STIGs, conduct vulnerability scans, remediate findings, support RMF and ATO packages, manage POA&M items, perform IAVA patching, and validate compliance with ISSOs. Responsibilities also include database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, recovery, upgrades, replication, script development, and SQL query execution.

Develops and maintains AWS cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, containerized solutions, automated testing, and secure Linux and Windows environments. Builds integrations with Python, PowerShell, and Groovy; configures identity and access resources; troubleshoots complex systems; and documents architectures and procedures. The role supports an MBSE cloud platform within an Agile Scrum team and requires collaboration across infrastructure, applications, cloud services, and security domains.
